2026 Promotion and Outreach Plan for Responsible Business Conduct (RBC)
Our aim is to raise awareness of Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) and support companies in implementing the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (the “Guidelines”) and related OECD Due Diligence Guidance by promoting the role and activities of the National Contact Point (NCP).
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the OECD Guidelines, the Korean NCP will:
⦁ Organize joint seminars with relevant stakeholders; and
⦁ Strengthen targeted outreach to Korean companies operating overseas and foreign-invested companies in Korea.
Key Promotion Initiatives
Commemorative Seminar for the 50th Anniversary of the Guidelines
- In collaboration with partner organizations such as the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the UN Global Compact Korea Network (UNGC Korea), a joint seminar will be held to promote the OECD Guidelines and Due Diligence Guidance to businesses and stakeholders.
- Marking the 50th anniversary of the Guidelines, the seminar will be co-organized with relevant government bodies (e.g., Ministry of Employment and Labor, National Human Rights Commission of Korea) to highlight key achievements, share insights and explore future areas of cooperation.
- The seminar is scheduled to take place during the 50th Anniversary Week on RBC (29 June – 2 July 2026) and will focus on the recently released OECD due diligence guidance on responsible AI, as well as pressing issues in the areas of human rights and labor.
Targeted Outreach to Overseas Korean Companies and Foreign-Invested Companies (in cooperation with KOTRA)
- Casebooks detailing specific instances from the Korean NCP, along with the OECD Guidelines and promotional materials such as videos, will be distributed through KOTRA’s global network of overseas offices (appx. 100 offices worldwide) to support outreach to Korean companies operating abroad.
- The Korean NCP will explore the possibility of participating in the ‘2026 Invest Korea Summit’ by operating a promotional booth to engage with foreign-invested companies in Korea and raise awareness of the Guidelines in the areas of human rights, labor and the environment.
Online and Offline Communication
- Website (Revamped in March 2026)
⦁The Korean NCP will continuously update its website with essential information, including the status of specific instances, the activities of the Korean NCP committee and other relevant updates.
⦁The revamped website features an online submission form for specific instances and an improved interface for easier access to key OECD materials, including NCP Annual Reports.
- Social Media Channels
The Korean NCP will enhance engagement with stakeholders and the general public by developing and sharing visual content across its social media platforms:
⦁Instagram: ncpkr_official
