Responsible Business Conduct with OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

Peer Review

NCPs should all function with a high degree of effectiveness in order for the network to function, in accordance with the core effectiveness criteria agreed by OECD governments. To ensure consistency across the board, NCPs regularly review each other.

* Core effectiveness criteria
Visibility, Accessibility, Transparency, Accountability,
Impartiality and Equitability, Predictability, Compatibility with Guidelines

Peer reviews are supported by the OECD and include broad consultations with stakeholders, a public report and recommendations.
The peer review process lasts between 18 months and two years and is divided into six steps; it relies heavily on stakeholder participation.
The Korea NCP voluntarily underwent a peer review in 2019 and is scheduled to undergo its second peer review in 2026.
