Destruction Procedures
Personal information provided for specific instances, inquiries, or other purposes will, once the relevant purpose has been fulfilled, be transferred to a separate database (or, in the case of paper records, to a separate storage facility) and retained for a specified period in accordance with the Secretariat’s internal policies and applicable laws and regulations before being destroyed.
Personal information transferred to a separate database will not be used for any purpose other than that for which it is retained, unless otherwise required by law.

Methods of Destruction
Personal information stored electronically will be permanently deleted using technical methods that prevent the information from being restored or reproduced. Paper records containing personal information will be securely destroyed through a professional document destruction service.

4. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information

The Secretariat does not provide users’ personal information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:

• - where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable laws and regulations; or
